Steve has worked in the behavioral health and addictions recovery field for over 20 years. Besides his experience in business development, community relations and assessment, he has served and been active on such boards as the Employee Assistance Professionals Association, Kansas City Behavioral Health / Chemical Abuse Council, and the Suicide Prevention Collaborative. Steve went to Northwest Missouri State University and has served in roles with successful healthcare corporations and non-profit mental health organizations. He has experience as a ‘Drug Free Workplace’ Trainer, coordinator of Johnson Institute Diversity Conference, Oxford House Planning Committee, Human Rights Campaign, Johnson County Kansas Pre-Sentence Investigator, KC COMBAT Drug Court Committee, Crisis Intervention Panel, State Mental Health Coordination Committee, National Council on Alcoholism & Drug Dependence First Call Strategic Planning Committee, NAADAC Lobbyist Trainee (Alcohol/Drug Counselors Association) and United Way Presenter. Some of Steve’s other interests include his passion for addiction recovery support, personal recovery program, writing, comedy, the arts and spending time with family and friends.
