Admissions

Arista Recovery Cares.

The Arista Recovery admissions process, led by our team of admissions specialists, is efficient and effective. We ensure clients and their families understand the entire rehabilitation process.

We realize the admissions process can be an anxiety-ridden situation, especially if a client is not familiar with addiction treatment. Not long ago, many of our staff members were clients themselves, so we understand the anxiety involved.

Congratulations on getting here. Every step is another shot at success. Now, let’s get you even closer to a new you.

We encourage potential clients to talk to graduates of our programs. They are the perfect people to explain the Arista Recovery advantage, which places all people on equal footing.

What Happens When You Contact Us

Pre-admissions entail verifying insurance and determining what type of coverage the prospective patient has or if they are going to utilize private pay. By providing the admissions team with insurance information, we can establish whether a company will cover rehab treatment services. Some insurance companies only cover a percentage or a certain amount of days in treatment, while others cover the full stay. Even if a patient’s insurance only covers a limited amount or nothing , there are other options for receiving help at our facility.

During the pre-admission process, prospective patients will be asked to complete a substance abuse assessment, which may be done over the phone or online. It is important that the person who is completing the assessment be open and honest when answering questions. The answers will guide what type and level of treatment are needed throughout their journey.

Each prospective patient is treated as a unique individual, and their treatment is dependent upon their own experiences and struggles. The substance abuse evaluation process is handled with care and compassion.

Everything that is said or written down during the pre-admissions process, even if the prospective patient does not end up at the center, is completely private and confidential. Arista Recovery adheres to strict compliance with HIPPA regulations.

During the admission process, it is understandable and completely normal to have a variety of questions and concerns for the admissions team. This is the time for patients to start being vulnerable and honest about their anxieties surrounding treatment. The team at Arista Recovery will do their best to answer all questions, address worries, and bring the patient to a calm and comfortable headspace regarding the admissions process. The professionals at Arista Recovery strive to build positive and trusting relationships with their patients and have an open-door policy regarding concerns.

Medical History

At this point, the patient has been approved for admissions, and the clinical staff members are collecting the necessary medical reports to help them assess the patient more thoroughly. This is part of the intake process.

The admissions process is similar to going to a new doctor. The center will need to access your medical history, which includes obtaining a signed consent and records release to contact the prospective patient’s primary doctor and anyone else relevant who works regularly with him or her. Mental health practitioners, nutritionists, and professionals at previous rehab centers are examples of people it would be beneficial to get records from. Psychiatrists and psychologists are contacted to retrieve information about official diagnoses, as well as general information about the patient’s mental health and past drug abuse.

Each person has a medical background, which may affect the treatment process. A treatment team needs to know if a patient is taking prescribed medications, if they have any illness, disease, or disorder, if there is a family history of substance abuse, and a general idea of past treatments. In addition, being aware of someone’s medical history can help in an emergency.

The goal for obtaining a clear medical history is for the treatment team to be able to better serve their patients.

On top of retrieving any recent records from medical professionals, the intake process also includes conducting new assessments. Generally, a psychiatrist or psychologist will handle the psychological and psychosocial assessments and a medical doctor will perform a physical exam and as well as run labs to get toxicology results.

This can seem like a lot to new patients; however, this is a necessary step in admissions. The information that comes with these types of substance abuse assessments is valuable to the treatment team that will be working with addicts. In turn, the information can help them work more effectively and successfully with their patients.

At the end of the intake process, patients are given a tour, introduced to therapists and technicians, and even other patients in the center. They will gain a better understanding of their individualized schedule over the next weeks. At this point, patients are now admitted to the program.

OUR INDIVIDUALIZED APPROACH

Treatment Planning at Arista Recovery

Once officially admitted, one of the first huge steps toward recovery is to develop a treatment plan with the team. A treatment plan is the focus of a patient’s time in treatment.

An effective treatment plan includes:

Identify & Diagnosis

The diagnostic summary is based on medical history, assessments, reports, etc.

Patient Goals

Areas of need the patient would like to target during their time in treatment.

Risk Assessment

Identify risk factors and barriers to treatment.

SMART Goals and Objectives

*SMART stands for
SPECIFIC
MEASURABLE
ATTAINABLE
RELEVANT
TIME-LIMITED

Therapies & Approaches

Specific interventions such as support groups, weekly therapy, etc.

Relapse Prevention

Identify risk factors for relapsing/aftercare planning

Tracking Progress

A way to track and evaluate progress (data)

The treatment plan is worked on throughout a patient’s time in the addiction center and even back out into the world during aftercare. Things within the plan can change based on individual needs.
